Born on February in Montona, Italy, Aldo emigrated to the United States with his family in 1955. He went on to become one of the most successful entrepreneurs and racers in history.

Aldo's love for racing was evident from a young age, and he instilled this passion in his children and grandchildren. His family was incredibly important to him, and he made sure they knew the value of supporting each other. In fact, he co-owned and operated Andretti Firestone in Speedway and Crawfordsville, Indiana for many years, but his pride and joy was his precision screw machine shop, Aldo Andretti Machine and Engineering.

One of the highlights of Aldo's life was flying test maneuvers in an F-15 fighter jet. This experience must have been exhilarating, and it's no surprise that he remained a strong supporter of our troops throughout his life. Despite facing personal tragedies, including the loss of his son John to colon cancer just eleven months before his own passing on December 30, 2020, Aldo remained a beacon of hope and inspiration to those around him.

Aldo was also preceded in death by his sister Anna Maria Burley and his beloved son and buddy, John Andretti. His twin brother, Mario, went on to become one of the most successful racing drivers in history, and together they formed the start of the greatest racing dynasty in history.

Throughout his life, Aldo remained committed to maintaining an immaculate car and keeping his fingerprints off the windows - a habit that reflects his attention to detail and dedication to excellence. Above all, he loved his family and instilled in them the importance of supporting one another.
